About CMScensus

CMScensus is collecting, categorizing and analyzing website urls based on reliable source like Wikipedia or Wikidata. The results are shown in different ways as table rows or diagrams. The system is based on the open source system TYPO3. Third party extensions and own addons are in use to extend the functionality of the system.

CMS detection

Using the service of whatcms.org returns information about the system

CMScensus (based on TYPO3 CMS) sends requests to the API of whatcms.org using a given website url within an schedule and on demand. Whatcms.org detects the website and analyzes the given server header and content information. This results in information about the cms, its version, the database, programming language and webserver as well. As the response a result array in JSON format will return to CMScensus, which saves the data and draws the information in different diagrams. Information will be refreshed in a recurring way.
